Responsibilities:
- Actively supervise, coach, and mentor Direct Support Professionals and Area Coordinators and Support Staff
- Lead the daily operations of our adult day program, ensuring compliance with licensing standards and support for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
- Responsible for Interviewing and hiring staff, performance management, attendance management, payroll accuracy and training compliance of each team member
- Plan community- based activities for individuals with intellectual & developmental disabilities (IDD)
- Present and promote new and existing programs, and closely collaborate with the regional center and grown programs
- Derive program improvements, build connections with families, and represent the Arc's mission in the community.

Position Summary:
The Program Manager plans and administers a community-based day program for adults with developmental disabilities based on best practices, outcomes for people served and within the established program design. The program manager manages and implements a program that enhances the lives of adults with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities. Key roles include to conduct intake, assessment and development of individual service plans, and quarterly, semi-annual and annual service plan reviews; to oversees implementation of daily program activities, meal time and personal care schedules as per the program design; to hire and retain qualified and dedicated employees through initial and annual training and person-to person reviews with direct support professionals at 90-days and annually and other engagement activities to develop staff performance, staff professional development goals, job satisfaction; complete tasks to develop and sustain consumer program enrollment and strategic goals of The Arc; and to meet legal and health and safety compliance related to programs, consumers, employees and facilities. The Program Manager meets upper management on a weekly basis, with an active role in all discussions to ensure communication between departments is continuous; reports and analyzes staff and consumer attendance, program performance, program changes, staff performance and staff improvement, and matters related to regulatory compliance and The Arc strategic goals. The Program Manager leads program staff, including but not limited program support staff, direct support staff, and senior companions to perform their jobs, to assess their needs on weekly basis and provide the resources needed to do their jobs safely, effectively and efficiently, and to update and follow up with direct support staff in a timely manner.
Education and Experience:
- HS Diploma or GED required
- Bachelor's Degree required
- Advanced or Graduate Degree preferred
- 2 years of experience or training in one of the following: a. Care and supervision of clients in a licensed adult day program, or an adult day health facility. b. Care and supervision of one or more of the categories of persons to be served by the day program.
- 3 years human services delivery and 1 year management or supervisory experience
- 5 years of experience preferred
Requirements:
- CA Driver's license, clean driving record, and be insurable
- Pass DOJ
- Maintain First Aid and CPR Certificate
- Lift 50lbs
Schedule and Compensation:
- In Person
- Mon- Friday 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Salary Description:
- $30.29/hr. to $34.62/hr.
