We are seeking a highly skilled Space Systems Engineer to support end-to-end mission development for next-generation space architectures. This individual will be instrumental in designing, integrating, and executing advanced space programs critical to national security and commercial space exploration.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership and execution across space systems engineering, mission design, and architecture development.
- Lead end-to-end system lifecycle activities, including concept development, requirements definition, design, integration, testing, and operational deployment.
- Develop technical solutions for IC and DoD space missions, ensuring alignment with emerging next-generation architectures.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including government customers and industry partners, to rapidly develop and deploy solutions.
- Support risk assessments, trade studies, and system performance evaluations to drive mission success.
- Translate customer needs into technical roadmaps, system architectures, and execution strategies.
- Identify and solve complex technical and programmatic challenges with innovative, mission-driven solutions.
Firm Requirements
- Active TS/SCI clearance
- 10-15 years of experience in space systems engineering.
- Proven expertise in IC and DoD mission areas, including an understanding of next-generation architectures.
- In-Office Readiness—ability to work onsite in a secure facility.
- Ability to rapidly integrate into a high-performance team, understand roles, and deliver results quickly.
- Demonstrated end-to-end expertise in space programs and mission execution.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
Desired Capabilities
- Experience with model-based systems engineering (MBSE) tools such as Cameo, DOORS, or SysML.
- Hands-on experience with mission planning, orbital mechanics, and spacecraft design.
- Experience in agile development processes for rapid prototyping and deployment.
- Previous experience in startups, rapid innovation environments, or government-sponsored R&D programs.
