Directs and coordinates activities in Product Applications Engineering and the Engineering Prototype Laboratories through subordinate managers. Participates in formulating and administering company policies. Develops long-range goals and objectives. Drives identification and implementation of new technologies as required to support responsible areas.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for overall leadership of the Product Applications Engineering, Global Engineering Prototype Build and Test Laboratories and Compliance.
- Develops and implements Strategic Initiatives and Annual Improvement Priorities.
- Develops and implements standardized operating procedures and processes for the Global Laboratories and Product Applications Engineering groups.
- Ensures laboratory build, test and analysis capabilities are aligned with new product and propellant development requirements including identification and implementation of advanced technologies to support these functions.
- Collaborates with global operations functions (Supply Chain, Quality, Program Management, Finance, Marketing, HR and Operations) to support ongoing operations and improve company processes and procedures.
- Develops engineering related business objectives and organizational strategies.
- Works collaboratively as a member of the Senior Management team to help set the direction for the company.
- Champions major engineering and business initiatives.
- Performs other duties required to support Engineering operations and service delivery.

Requirements:Bachelor of Science in engineering required. A Master’s degree in engineering or business would be ideal. Minimum of 15 years of progressive responsibility in Engineering. Significant leadership experience of at least three years at senior management or executive level in a company in which the candidate has been responsible for the functional and strategic aspects of Engineering required. Proven leadership, management, technical and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated oral and written communication skills, exceptional employee development abilities, a client-service orientation, strong aptitude and ability to leverage information technology and applications and experience with strategic planning and project management are essential.
