Your Opportunity at ARC’TERYX:
As the Senior Sourcing Specialist, Raw Materials, you will be responsible for driving supply chain operational excellence within our raw materials vendor base.
You will work closely with our Raw Materials Supply Planning team and grow the capabilities of our Supply Chain team, with the focus of building a resilient Tier 2 supply chain for our apparel, equipment, and footwear product.
You will own the relationship with our raw materials suppliers, driving strategic sourcing projects and providing insights and recommending sustainable sourcing strategies. You will continuously improve on time performance, optimize cost, and direct the use of supply chain capabilities and efficiencies to deliver Arc’teryx business goals.
You will enable, protect, and challenge our business practices with data, consideration, and teamwork. You will develop the next Supply Chain superstars while modeling leadership across the organization.
This role is based out of our North Vancouver office. Candidates must be eligible to work in Canada.
Meet Your Future Team:
The Raw Materials Sourcing team is part of the Raw Materials organization and includes the Raw Materials Supply Planning team. The team partners closely with finished goods Sourcing and Supply Planning, and our new Asia Liaison Office teams to grow our business and create a world class supply chain.
Other teams you will work closely with include Raw Materials Development, Product Development, Design, Quality, Compliance, Merchandising, Merchandise Planning, Global Planning, Product Operations, to name a few. Your priority is to ensure that our Tier 2 supply chain can deliver on all seasonal commercialization requirements, while anticipating the future needs of the business.
\n- Managing the execution of seasonal raw materials sourcing strategy – collaborating with all partners to support seasonal commercialization and special projects, while ensuring timely and accurate communication.
- Driving strategic projects with raw materials and supply chain teams and consultant, while tracking and providing regular updates on progress.
- Developing and managing T2 supplier onboarding process and documentation.
- Managing T2 supply initiatives, including supplier sourcing and onboarding, and collaborating with Raw Materials Development and upstream commercialization partners.
- Building and rewarding team culture that fosters urgency, efficiency, and curiosity.
- Developing key RM supplier relationships in line with long term T2 sourcing strategy.
- Developing use of data and KPIs to drive cohesive visibility and understanding of T2 supply planning management and performance.
- Evolving and optimizing RM Sourcing org dates, processes, and deliverables to meet the needs of seasonal GTM workstreams.
- Supporting negotiation and design of supplier agreements, including but not limited to purchasing, quality, and compliance.
- Proactively identifying, analyzing, and mitigating supply risks in collaboration with RM Planning and supply chain partners.
- Contributing on behalf of wider supply chain organization, working closely with cross functional partners to support process timeline and discipline.
- Developing documentation of record for RM Sourcing organization operations and processes.
- Supporting long term forecast commitments and measure purchase activity and variance.
- Supporting T2 supplier onboarding process and system of record.
- Keeping Arc’teryx at the cutting edge of material manufacturing technologies and ensure that our supply chain follows.
- You have 3 years experience in apparel, equipment, or footwear Sourcing or related positions, and ideally have a degree in Supply Chain Management, or a related business field
- You have excellent communication skills, ability to relate to all levels of stakeholders.
- You have strong leadership, interpersonal, facilitation, and project management experience.
- You can think both strategically and tactically, ability exert tactful influence.
- You have advanced skills in Excel, and solid systems experience.
- You are numbers and data driven, and comfortable working with and analyzing large datasets.
- You set clear direction, aligning teams and fostering commitments to objectives.
