Summary:

As a bartender, you must be friendly, outgoing and possess good communication skills. A guest’s dinner and/or bar experience should be equally enjoyable, and you play a major role in the overall picture. Remember, consistency is a key element in a positive experience. We achieve this by always following recipes.

This position actively interacts with guests during all dining times and functions. The Dining Room operates 3 high volume meal periods, 7 days a week from April through November. This position is seasonal.

Responsibilities

• Work as a team with all Arcadia Bluffs’ personnel to maintain an effective atmosphere and an efficient food and beverage service
• Work with others to keep all areas always clean and stocked to Arcadia Bluffs’ standards
• Mix, garnish and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks for patrons of bar and dining room following standard recipes
• Ring drink orders into computer immediately, collect money from guests for drinks served and make change
• Follows alcohol awareness procedures for identifying age and preventing intoxication, getting management involved if needed

Qualifications/Skills:

• 1-2 years of Bartending experience required
• Basic mathematical skills, handle money and give correct change.
• Technologically-savvy
• Basic knowledge of beer, wine and spirits, and be familiar with standard drink recipes.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Multi-task oriented.
• Knowledge of Arcadia Bluffs’ food & beverage specifications as well as workplace safety procedures.
• Must be of legal age to serve liquor according to state law.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions

• Must be able to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays
• Must be able to be on feet for long periods of time
• Continuously reach, bend, lift, carry, stoop and wipe.
