Summary
The Housekeeping Team Lead supervises the daily activities of the Housekeeping Attendants in the Housekeeping department. This position will also act as a point of contact in the absence of the Manager.
The Housekeeping Team Lead may actively interact with guests during all times and functions. The Lodge operates 7 days a week from April through November. This position is seasonal and is eligible for shared tip pool.
Responsibilities
- Carry out opening and closing procedures and other Housekeeper duties when required
- Check and maintain adequate level of supplies and material and request replenishment of supplies as required
- Work with Front Desk and Maintenance Departments regarding the status of rooms and common areas ensuring that guest requirements are met according to Lodge policy
- Assist the Housekeeper Manager in the daily checking of guest rooms and designated staff areas, public areas maintaining cleanliness standards.
- Ensure guest lost items are secured and policies followed
- Ensure prompt communication with other departments
- Assist with team member training within the department
- Attend meetings as requested and contribute new ideas to the overall success of the operatio
- Lead by example and communicate with all team members in a fair and respectful way
- Inspire the team to achieve high standards of work and guest care, following the guidelines set by the Arcadia Bluffs Service Standards
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions
- Must be able to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Must be able to be on feet for long periods of time
- Ability to reach, bend and stoop frequently as well as lift up to 50 lbs.
