AFBCS is a small private Christian school in Santa Fe, Texas. We are currently looking for a Kindergarten Teacher for the 2024 - 2025 school year. We take pride in our small classes and family-like atmosphere.
Position: Kindergarten Teacher (Full-Time)
Job Summary
The teacher will prayerfully help the kindergarten students at AFBCS learn skills and guide their development so that they have the foundation to succeed. This position requires a person with patience and excellent creativity skills with the ability to always be on the move. This is a full-time position Monday through Friday.

- Uses a variety of teaching methodologies to create an engaging classroom environment, in which all students are held to high expectations.
- Keeps accurate attendance.

- Has excellent classroom and discipline management skills to ensure a consistent and effective learning environment.
- Able to maintain a neat, tidy, and attractive classroom that promotes a positive learning and working environment.
- Keeps emergency lesson plans and is able to follow the AFBCS subfolder requirements in case of unexpected emergencies/absences.
- Able to follow the AFBCS policies on grading and lesson plans, as well as keep up with the assigned deadlines.
- Able to communicate with faculty, staff, students, and parents as necessary.
- Check email, text, and messages on the learning management system daily.
- Returns phone calls, emails, messages, etc., within 24 hours of receipt.
- Ability to log all communication, documentation, discipline, and the like in the learning management system as required.
- Attends required monthly faculty meetings.
- Coordinates field trips and classroom events.
- Offers weekly one-day-a-week tutoring.
- Other duties that may be assigned throughout the year by Administration.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree
- EC-6 Certification
- Experience in the classroom (preferred).
