Arcadia Health and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a Floor Technician to help our facilities maintain a clean and attractive environment for our wonderful residents. Job duties may include:
- Sweep, mop and buff floors daily.
- Spray buff floors daily.
- Strip and wax floors as needed.
- Clean buffers and mops daily.
- Move furniture in rooms and clean in corners, behind furniture, under beds, etc.
- Assist in moving furniture and lifting objects when necessary.
- Clean lobbies, activity rooms, and nurses’ stations daily.
- Clean, dust, polish, and vacuum to make sure facilities are clean and well-presented.
- Maintain workstations and tools in a clean and orderly manner.
- Inspect surfaces after cleans to determine how they should be cleaned next time; remove and dispose trash.
- Tell the supervisor what needs to be done so that tasks can be completed in a timely manner so that everyone can get their work done.
Skills
- Ability to follow instructions and learn from them.
- Good communication skills (verbal & written) required.
- Good physical condition with the ability to lift heavy objects, climb ladders, work at heights, stand for long periods of time, walk frequently up and down stairs, etc...
- High school diploma or equivalent is required; some experience is preferred but not required.
