Arcadia Strategy Group (ASG) is seeking a seeking a Chinese Language Instructor for a Federal Government Customer in the Northern Virginia area. Applicants to the role must have an existing TS/SCI polygraph and professional proficiency in the foreign language in speaking, reading and listening skills.
Job Responsibilities
The Chinese Language Instructor will work 40 hours a week spending approximately 20 hours of teaching and 20 hours of lesson development, student assessment and testing. Instructor will have demonstrated knowledge of the respective area’s history, culture, politics, and economy, as well as working knowledge of foreign language learning technology and teaching methods. They will work under the direction of experienced senior trained instructors. Once on the program, instructors will be required to complete specific training on teaching mission-focused foreign language skills and conducting foreign language testing to become certified according to Customer standards.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Must possess an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph
- 5 years’ experience providing language instruction to adults (college or professional setting)
- Professional proficiency in foreign language speaking, reading, and listening skills (level 3 or 4 and above on ILR scale)
- B.A. or higher in Education or Language preferred
