Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Resident Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide direct support to residents, including those with developmental disabilities and dementia, in a assisted living environment. This role is essential in ensuring the well-being and comfort of our residents while promoting their independence and quality of life.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal care, grooming, and hygiene.
- Support residents with mobility assistance.
- Engage residents in social activities and recreational programs to enhance their socialization and emotional well-being.
- Monitor and report changes in residents' physical and emotional conditions to management.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for all residents.
- Collaborate with other team members to develop personalized care plans tailored to each resident's needs.
- Uphold confidentiality and respect the dignity of all residents.
Requirements
- Previous experience in direct support roles, particularly working with individuals with developmental disabilities or dementia care is preferred..
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff.
- Ability to perform physical tasks associated with assisting residents as needed.
- A compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others.
- High school diploma or equivalent; further education in healthcare is a plus.
