Role description :
Arcadis is seeking an experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join our Climate Adaptation and Water Management Team based in San Francisco, CA. Our Climate Adaptation practice focuses on delivering innovative and transformative solutions to address the challenges posed by climate change and coastal hazards while improving quality of life. We work on a diverse range of projects that include designing sustainable stormwater management systems, enhancing flood defenses, and developing adaptive strategies for coastal and inland communities and waterways. Our multidisciplinary teams are dedicated to improving the resilience of coastal and inland environments through cutting-edge engineering and strategic planning.
Role accountabilities :
As a Senior Structural Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering engineering and consulting services for a variety of projects, including those focused on shoreline stability, flood risk reduction, and waterfront infrastructure resilience. Additional responsibilities include :
- Leading structural analysis, design, and construction efforts for climate adaptation projects, including seismic risk reduction, flood mitigation, and infrastructure resilience initiatives.
- Serving as a project manager and technical lead for a diverse range of projects, overseeing design development, evaluation of solutions, and construction implementation.
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative and sustainable structural solutions aligned with industry codes and standards.
- Managing project budgets, schedules, and deliverables to ensure successful project completion within established timelines.
- Traveling, as needed, for project-related activities (i.e., client meetings, site visits).

We offer nine paid holidays and 20 days PTO that accrue per year. The salary range for this position is $122,000 - $183,000. Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project and location.
