Role description :
Arcadis is seeking a I&C Engineer with experience in the pharmaceutical / biotechnology industry. The ideal candidate will assist with the design, development, and implement instrumentation and control systems for building and process automation systems. He / She will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including process engineers and operations, to define control system requirements and specifications.
Role accountabilities :
- Assist with the design, develop, and implement instrumentation and control systems for building and process automation systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including process engineers and operations, to define control system requirements and specifications.
- Select appropriate sensors, controllers, and instrumentation devices to meet project and operational needs.
- Take ownership of device and instrument criticality assessments to ensure proper Calibration activities are scheduled and performed.
- Create and maintain control system documentation, including system architecture diagrams, specifications, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Program and configure control systems, including PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), DCS (Distributed Control Systems), and SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems.
- Conduct testing and validation of control systems to ensure functionality, reliability, and compliance with industry standards.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose instrumentation and control system issues, providing timely solutions to minimize downtime.
- Implement and oversee preventive maintenance programs for instrumentation and control systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Develop and deliver training programs for operators and maintenance staff on control system operations and troubleshooting.
- Monitor system performance and analyze data to identify opportunities for optimization and process improvements.
- Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for the procurement, installation, and maintenance of instrumentation and control equipment.
- Participate in project planning and management, providing technical expertise to support project initiatives.
- Assist the project with equipment and monitoring system startups
- Other duties as assigned
