We are seeking a Field Supervisor to join our office located in Auburn Hills, MI.

Position Summary:

The Associate Field Supervisor assumes a pivotal leadership role on our Admin team overseeing and leading teams of direct support professionals to ensure exceptional, person-centered care for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Responsibilities include supervising team leaders, facilitating comprehensive staff training, maintaining meticulous documentation, supporting billing processes, upholding recipient rights, managing consumer funds, promptly addressing critical incidents and more. Demonstrating a deep dedication to our organizational values and objectives, along with conducting regular home visits and fostering effective communication with support coordinators and guardians, are critical aspects of this role. This position is instrumental in driving organizational success and promoting the well-being of those we serve.

Key Responsibilities:

- Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor team leaders, ensuring alignment with the company's vision and values.

- Training & Development: Oversee completion and updates of required training for all employees to ensure high standards of care.

- Documentation & Audits: Ensure accurate documentation and conduct internal/external audits to maintain compliance and quality.

- Billing Support: Assist with billing processes and related internal activities to ensure financial accuracy and efficiency.

- Recipient Rights: Respect and enforce recipient rights, participating in investigations and reporting as necessary.

- Financial Management: Handle and account for consumer funds, manage bills, and ensure financial integrity.

- Incident Management: Address and report critical incidents, ensuring timely and accurate incident management.

- Payroll & Scheduling: Oversee time recordings and scheduling within the payroll system to ensure efficient operations.

- Recruitment & Onboarding: Assist with the placement and onboarding of new team members to build a strong and competent workforce.

- Staffing Patterns: Maintain and manage current internal staffing patterns for optimal care delivery.

- Career Development: Mentor and support the career development of team leaders to foster professional growth.

- Home Visits: Conduct regular home visits to ensure the quality of care and report findings.

- Liaison Duties: Act as a liaison for documentation collection, completion, and auditing.

- Policy Implementation: Assist in implementing new and existing policies and procedures to maintain high standards of care.

- Meetings: Participate in internal and external meetings regarding care and company operations to stay informed and aligned with organizational goals.

- On-Call Support: Provide on-call support and assist with issues as they arise to ensure continuous care.

- Temporary Leadership: Serve as a temporary team leader when needed to maintain continuity of care.

- Staffing Assistance: Ensure proper staffing levels, assist in finding caregiver coverage, and serve as a direct support professional when necessary.

- Cultural Promotion: Promote the company mission, vision, and values to enhance organizational culture.

- Gentle Teaching: Advocate for a Culture of Gentleness and Gentle Teaching to support our care philosophy.

Qualifications:

- Skills and Competencies: Conflict management, time management, critical thinking, boundary setting, problem solving, and leadership.

- Approach: Person-centered approach and commitment to Self-Determination.

- Knowledge: Familiarity with Gentle Teaching and a Culture of Gentleness.

- Technical Proficiency: Must be proficient with technology, including payroll systems, Google G-Suite, Microsoft

Office products, cloud-based systems, and project management software.

Education/Training:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or a related field – preferred.

- Up-to-date Direct Support Professional training (conducted by Oakland Community Health Network, Easter Seals

MORC, and/or Community Living Services) – required.

Experience:

- 3 years as a Direct Support Professional for individuals with disabilities – required.

- 2 years as a Home Manager of a group home or unlicensed personal residence overseeing a team of direct support professionals – required.

- 1 year as an Area Supervisor (or similar role) overseeing the operation of multiple group homes or unlicensed personal residences – preferred.

Work Conditions:

- Location: Office based in Auburn Hills, with daily travel required to service areas (Oakland County/Macomb County/Wayne County).

- Hours: Office hours are 8:30 am - 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday, with the occasional need to work additional hours beyond 40.

Salary : $50,000 - $58,000
