Qualifications
- Associate’s degree required
- Licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN); infusion certification required for LPNs
- CPR certification required
- At least one year of experience preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and electronic record-keeping systems
- Ability to learn and adapt to evolving technologies

Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and chart patient conditions, noting changes and responding to adverse reactions
- Administer prescribed medications and intravenous fluids, recording details accurately
- Measure and document vital signs such as height, weight, blood pressure, and respiration
- Collect patient samples, including blood, as needed for testing
- Educate patients on health maintenance, adoption of healthy behaviors, and available community resources
- Assist in coordinating smooth transitions of care across multiple settings
- Efficiently use health information systems to manage and improve patient care
- Incorporate quality indicators and patient-specific variables into care plans
- Discharge patients following the completion of therapies
- Participate in team meetings and training to stay current on best practices and compliance requirements
- Perform other duties as assigned
