Job Title: Medical Records Associate
Job Type: Full-time (Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM)
Travel: 10-25%
Qualifications:
- High school diploma required
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience in medical records or related healthcare administrative roles preferred
Job Summary:
The Medical Records Specialist works as part of the medical office team performing those clerical duties necessary to follow-up on a patient’s referral and to obtain medical records from a patient appointment that the patient was referred to. The Medical Records Associate also works as part of the Pharmacy 340B team performing
340B duties. These duties include documenting an appointment for the visit if necessary, answering the telephone, obtaining and linking records in a patients medical chart, documenting information accurately, verifying insurance if necessary, verifying claim eligibility, and other duties as assigned. Qualifications: High School Diploma. Travel and use of electronic medical records and other information technology will be required.
