What are the responsibilities and job description for the School-based CSW/LPCA position at ARCARE?
POSITION SUMMARY
This is a school-based position for Hickman County Schools. The CSW/LPCA will provide assessments, diagnosis, and treatment under the “scope of practice” of his/her professional licensure or certification to Mental Health Clinic clients. Clinical supervision of services delivered by a CSW/LPCA is conducted as required by the states Revised Statutes and Administrative Regulations (as promulgated by the Credentialing Boards of both the supervisor’s profession and the supervisee’s profession). The option of a reduced work schedule that is complementary of the school schedule is available.

Essential Functions Statement(s)
- Provide mental health assessments
- Provide individual therapy and guidance in order to identify and address mental health issues that complicate recovery while supporting and encouraging individual mental health resource utilization
- Facilitate group therapy services for selected patients and/or parents.
- Provide mental health information in order to educate patients, customers, and staff members regarding the dynamics of mental health
- Facilitate crisis intervention to ensure safety and well-being of patients
- Participate in ongoing education in order to produce the highest quality of service and expertise needed for the organization
- Assure a safe and secure environment for patients, staff, guests, and visitors
- Additional duties as directed by the Behavioral Health Leadership

SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education: Master’s Degree
Experience: Preferred experience as a CSW or LPCA
Certificates and Licenses: Current CSW or LPCA licensure in the state of Kentucky. LCSW and LPCC licensees are also encouraged to apply.
Computer Skills: Basic computer skills and the ability to learn and use electronic medical record system
Other Requirements
Ability to relate with consideration and effectiveness to the staff of ARcare, prospective employees, and external agencies and persons with whom this department interacts. Ability to facilitate training in a classroom setting as well as one-on-one training. Willing to attend continuing education related to this position.
