Job Description
The Staff Accountant - ArcBest is responsible for general ledger accounting, preparation of financial statements, financial analysis, account reconciliations, forecasting, planning, and other special projects.
Responsibilitie
- sDevelop, maintain, and analyze forecasts, preparing periodic reports that compare forecasted costs to actual costs
- .Develop, implement, modify, and document recordkeeping and accounting systems, making use of current computer technology
- .Analyze business operations, trends, costs, revenues, and expenses to provide advice
- .Other duties and projects, as assigned
- .Prepare, examine, or analyze accounting records, financial statements, or other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards
- .Report to management regarding the finances of establishment
- .Establish tables of accounts and assign entries to proper accounts
