Your role

The ArcelorMittal Tubular Products (AMTP) Order Developer & Scheduler, reporting to the Production Control Manager, is responsible for managing the conversion of planned demand into production orders, ensuring timely and efficient scheduling of seamless and welded tube manufacturing processes, including Cold Draw Finishing departments. This role involves overseeing the production of SCD, SHF, ERW, and DOM products. Utilizing SAP, this role processes sales order entries, develops production orders, and releases them to PSI for execution on the shop floor. The position plays a critical role in balancing customer demand with production capacity while optimizing throughput and efficiency.

Main tasks for the Order Developer & Scheduler

· Convert planned demand from SAP into structured production orders in alignment with capacity constraints and material availability.

· Work closely with Sales Order Entry to validate order requirements, lead times, and production feasibility.

· Ensure production orders are sequenced and scheduled effectively to meet customer delivery expectations.

· Release production orders to PSI and shop floor teams, ensuring effective communication between departments.

· Align scheduling activities with seamless and welded tube processes, including Cold Draw Finishing departments.

· Monitor raw material availability, machine capacity, and workforce allocation to prevent bottlenecks.

· Adjust production schedules dynamically in response to machine downtime, material shortages, or urgent customer requests.

· Maintain close coordination with Operations, Quality, and Logistics to support a smooth production flow.

· Maintain accurate SAP production data, ensuring real-time visibility of order status.

· Analyze and validate planned vs. actual production data, adjusting schedules as necessary.

· Generate reports and insights from SAP & PSI to support production planning and continuous improvement initiatives.

· Participate in process improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing production scheduling efficiency.

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve on-time delivery, inventory management, and production throughput.

· Provide regular updates to management regarding order status, schedule adherence, and potential production risks.

· Monitor finished goods inventory, work-in-progress (WIP) inventory, stock inventory, and raw material inventory to ensure optimal levels.

What we are looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or related field (preferred) or equivalent experience.
• 3-5 years in production control, scheduling, or planning within a manufacturing environment (preferably metals, tube manufacturing, or steel industry).
• Proficiency in SAP (PP, MM modules preferred) for production planning and scheduling.
• Strong understanding of seamless & welded tube manufacturing, including SCD, SHF, ERW, and DOM processes.
• Ability to interpret production capacity, lead times, and order prioritization.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic production environment.
• Candidate must be available for occasional travel between company facilities and vendor locations.
• Possess the physical ability to climb stairs, bend, stoop and move throughout the plant as needed, sit for long periods of time, perform repetitive movements, occasionally lift up to 30 pounds.
• Ability to hear and speak clearly in person and over the phone.
