Area Manager – Maintenance and Reliability
The ideal candidate will participate as a member of the ArcelorMittal NOES Project Team on matters of equipment and building Maintenance and Reliability. This candidate will also recruit and lead the staff responsible for installation, maintenance, and managing the NOES building, equipment, and processes.
The Basics:
- Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering or Business Management discipline. If formal education is in a business discipline, subsequent credentials documenting technical aptitude for the role are expected.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in manufacturing disciplines with a record of success in project management, technical problem solving, and manufacturing team leadership.
- Demonstrated aptitude for learning and applying technical subject matter.
The Extras:
- Experience working on a greenfield plant launch or plant start-up is preferred.
- Experience utilizing materials science concepts (steel, aluminum, cast iron) is preferred.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
- Participating in a project team as a critical team member.
- Serving as primary link between engineering resources and plant operating resources.
- Hiring and developing competent technical staff.
- Utilizing a computerized maintenance management system.
- Creating and maintaining adherence to safety management systems.
- Predicting and avoiding equipment failures.
- Completion of periodic reports communicating equipment performance and reliability.
- Creating comprehensive commissioning plans transitioning equipment from design and fabrication stages to operating stages.
- Ensuring compliance to standards of safety and quality.
- Forming strong and effective relationships with colleagues in related functional areas.
