Arcetyp LLC is a growing small business that provides a broad range of consulting services to US Federal Government, US Military, and Commercial clients. Services include Management & IT Consulting, Program & Project Management, and Professional & Admin Services.
We are recruiting an experienced Cobol Software Systems Engineer to join our team. Work is remote.
POSITION DUTIES: Primary job functions include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Responsible for effective provisioning, operation, installation/configuration, and maintenance of PoC environment including hardware/software/related infrastructure.
- Provides technical support, guidance and hands-on delivery in the planning, implementation, and ongoing operation of to ensure effective execution during the PoC.
- The Systems Engineer shall participate in technical analysis, research, test, and evaluation to enable successful completion of the PoC.
- The SE Ensure that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational requirements.
- The Systems Engineer shall document specifications, project plans, configurations, test plans and results.
- Depicts complex ideas, issues, and designs to varied audiences; communicates project objectives, scope and status to project teams.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: Applicants MUST have this experience:
- Ten (10) years of overall professional experience in the engineering field.
- Five (5) years’ experience with modern SW programming languages and relational databases. Resume shall demonstrate experience working in legacy system modernization.
- Demonstrated experience with agile SW methodologies.
- Preference for experience working with AI/ML tools.
- Demonstrated experience implementing solutions for DevSeCOps.
- Five (5) or more years working and developing processes, plans, procedures to support SW modernization efforts.
EDUCATION:
- BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, IT, or closely related discipline.
REQUIRED CLEARANCE/CERTIFICATIONS:
- Must possess IT-II security clearance or have a current National Agency Check with Local Agency Check and Credit Check (NACLC) at time of proposal submission.
- DoD Approved 8570 Baseline Certification: Category IAT Level II
- Relevant certification from a nationally recognized technical authority.
WORK AUTHORIZATION:
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
