Responsibilities

Arcfield is seeking a CDS Systems Administrator to meet customer requirements for data transfer between networks operating at different security classifications. Candidate will be responsible for installing cross domain suites at customer sites with integration into customer infrastructure. 5% Travel to Rome NY site for training.

What you’ll do…

Assist with specification of hardware suitable to meet customer specified size, weight, power, performance and scalability requirements.
Support the specification of Rule Sets defining data-specific security inspection and sanitization requirements.
Coordinate with customer sites to ensure readiness for system installation, configuration, training, and security accreditation testing.
Define tests to be executed on-site to ensure installed systems meet documented user requirements.
Support activities including system installation, configuration, training, functional testing, and security testing, system upgrades, and technical support and system administration.
During system installation, integrate with site infrastructure components such as email servers, file servers, time servers, PKI servers, continuous monitoring systems, VM Servers, and KVM capabilities.
Support installation and maintenance of systems / network environments to facilitate installation planning, customer training, and Help Desk operations.

Qualifications

You’d be a great fit if…

You have a BS degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or other related technical field with 2-4 years’ experience, MS with 0-2 years, or a High School Diploma or associate’s degree and 8 years’ experience.

You have a basic working knowledge of Linux OS (RHEL 7.x 8.x, 9.x), Microsoft Windows, desktop applications (email, file transfer, browsers), computer networking, Virtual Machine technologies, and bash scripting.

You have the ability to work well individually and in a team environment as either a team member or team lead.

You have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Must have and maintain a current TS / SCI clearance

It’d be even better if you…

Have extensive systems backgrounds and advanced working knowledge of Linux OS (RHEL 7.x, RHEL 8.x, RHEL 9.x), Microsoft Windows, desktop applications (email, file transfer, browsers), computer networking, Virtual Machine technologies, Bash scripting, XML technologies / tools, Active Directory, MS Exchange, and system integration, network troubleshooting, regular expressions, and system troubleshooting.

Have familiarity with Cross Domain Solution (CDS) architectures, fielding, and approval policies.

Have good understanding of software development processes sufficient to support collaboration with software engineering teams developing future product capabilities to better meet customer requirements.
