Be part of a fast-paced, high energy, team as an early adopter and leader in the digital transformation of systems engineering. To engineer increasingly complex systems and capabilities, the government is transforming legacy systems engineering methods and processes. Central to the transformation is the adoption of Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) as the means to manage complexity, increase engineering quality, and ultimately drive cost and schedule efficiencies into the acquisition process. As an industry leader in systems engineering, Arcfield is actively hiring MBSE interns to work collaboratively in this transformation through application of MBSE best practices, development of MBSE processes and methodologies, and modeling of corporate systems and processes. For this position, the selected candidate should also understand how system requirements, design, analysis, verification and validation activities can be enabled by MBSE across the engineering lifecycle.

Duties And Responsibilities
- Assess engineering artifacts and develop models of systems and processes using a MBSE tool suite that includes Cameo, MatLab and other IT tools. The candidate should have demonstrated experience with SysML, UML or industry standard modelling languages.
- Define and demonstrate data standards and Open Source technologies required to manage the data needs. These items are technical resources in the development of models to support company programs.
- Integrate enterprise tools and develop MBSE-based processes to support corporate systems engineering needs. Background in processes related to development of requirements, CONOPS and architecture is desirable.
- Participate in collaborative meetings between the MBSE users and the tool development team to communicate modeling needs and help innovate potential solutions.
- Provides technical advice and guidance to senior managers regarding the creation and implementation of new MBSE methods and techniques.
Required
- HS 3-4 years
- Working toward a BS (or higher) in engineering, physics, programming or related technical degree
- Familiarity with MBSE Tools such as Cameo or MatLab for modeling using the SysML language
- Familiarity with the systems engineering processes and artifacts (requirements, architectures, CONOPs, Test Cases, etc)
- Familiarity with MBSE implementation ranging from conceptual to physical implementations; including Data Modeling, Data Ingest, and model query.
- Demonstrated communication skills especially with colleagues working in a team environment
