Responsibilities :
The individual selected for this position will serve as Senior Counterintelligence Officer (SCIO); specific duties and functions include, but are not limited to, the following :
- Manage Counterintelligence (CI) / Counter Terrorism (CT) investigations across the DOE complex.
- Work closely with senior level management at the FBI and the US Intelligence Community (USIC) to coordinate ongoing espionage, terrorism, or related operations and investigations at responsible facilities.
- Serve as liaison and interface with DOE facility management and local law enforcement agencies surrounding the assigned facility.
- Establish effective liaison with executive level scientific counterparts within the DOE complex to proactively mitigate CI threats and ensure timely identification of CI issues.
- Provide CI / CT defensive briefings and debriefings to Departmental personnel in foreign intelligence and terrorist activities / threats.

This is the projected compensation range for this position. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary / hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
