Position Description
Under general supervision, provides administrative support to one or more individuals in the Claims Department.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for setting up and assignment of new claims; experience in multiple lines of business, including Surety, helpful
- Preparation of acknowledgement letters and forwarding (via mail or electronically) to the insured and brokers
- Procurement of binders and/or policies
- Preparation of FNOL (first notice of loss) in the Arch Core Claim System (RMA), Guidewire and ImageRight
- Upon completion of FNOL set-up, assigning new loss to Claim Handler
- Timely processes information requests.
- General correspondence to staff, invoices to be processed, letters to be printed and mailed
- Processing of certified mailings, ROR letters, etc. and tracking of same
- Special projects as assigned by Operations Supervisor or Manager
Education & Experience
- High School graduate; some college or insurance related education preferred
- At least 1 to 2 years of related claims experience in the insurance field
Key Competencies
- Familiar with a variety of Insurance Claim concepts, practices, and procedures
- Organizational and detail oriented
- Skill with MS Office, Word, Outlook
- Customer service oriented with strong interpersonal skills
- Team player
- Computer and keyboarding skills
- Role is hybrid and will be (2) days in office
