Arch Capital Services LLC is seeking a self-motivated and experienced individual with a strong background in IT procurement to join our corporate procurement team. The candidate should have at minimum 8 years’ procurement experience and a proven track record of managing IT and non-IT procurement strategies effectively. While this position can be primarily remote, the ability to travel easily to a nearby Arch office for team meetings, collaboration and other in-person needs is strongly preferred. Preference is given to the following East Coast offices: Greensboro, NC; Raleigh, NC; White Plains, NY; Jersey City, New Jersey. This position is best suited for an individual with the ability to lead a variety of procurement initiatives and to support business units across Arch.

Reporting directly to the Vice President of Vendor Management and Procurement, the Director of Procurement will take the lead on multiple aspects of the end-to-end procurement process supporting the goals of encouraging diverse and competitive sourcing, maximizing cost savings, ensuring appropriate risk management practices are followed and strengthening relations with both internal teams and vendors.
Responsibilities will include:
$115,000 - $146,000/year

Responsibilities will include:
- Create and execute a comprehensive procurement strategy that aligns with the company’s goals, with an emphasis on IT services, software, and hardware
- Leverage knowledge to identify sourcing opportunities, drive supplier negotiations, and implement cost-saving initiatives
- Establish and maintain strategic relationships with key vendors and suppliers, ensuring optimal performance and alignment with business objectives
- Lead and develop a high-performing procurement team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Streamline procurement processes for spend, implementing best practices and leveraging technology to enhance efficiency
- Identify risks within the supply chain and develop strategies to mitigate these risks, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations
- Collaborate with stakeholders across companies and departments to understand their procurement needs and ensure alignment with overall organizational objectives
- Stay abreast of market trends and supplier innovations to develop sourcing strategies and enhance procurement effectiveness
- Reporting and Metrics: Develop and present procurement performance metrics and reports to senior management, highlighting achievements and areas for improvement.
- Experience with a multi-national insurance company or similar financial services business
- Advanced knowledge of data privacy and/or information security requirements
- Experience with a broad variety of suppliers, including IT, software, professional services, and insurance specific data/service providers
- Excellent leadership and people management skills, with a track record of building and managing high performance teams
- Extensive sourcing and procuring experience, with a focus on insurance specific data/service providers, IT software, professional services
- Extensive knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite with advanced knowledge of Excel and Smartsheet
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Results driven with an ability to independently manage projects from inception to implementation
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills, strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- A high degree of personal and professional integrity; be customer focused (internal and external); takes initiative; can quickly grasp new concepts; is organized and thorough; can multi-task and manage workload; pays close attention to detail; proactive
- The ability to prioritize, follow through with assigned tasks efficiently and accurately
- 8 years’ experience in a procurement or sourcing role, with increasing levels of responsibility
- Other related duties and projects as assigned
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or 10 years procurement experience
$115,000 - $146,000/year
- Total individual compensation (base salary, short & long-term incentives) offered will take into account a number of factors including but not limited to geographic location, scope & responsibilities of the role, qualifications, talent availability & specialization as well as business needs. The above pay range may be modified in the future.
