The Position

The Arch Agents of Transformation is a paid 10-week internship designed to introduce a diverse group of rising sophomores and juniors to the company and the insurance industry through an intensive program featuring training, classroom education, networking, real-world work experience and a capstone project.

 

In the Agents of Transformation program, interns will rotate through critical Operations functions in order to fully experience the transformational abilities of a large, global (re)insurer. Additionally, students will offer much-needed novel and fresh perspectives that will directly impact Arch and the insurance industry as a whole.

 

Selected students will be exposed to a variety of career paths in insurance, working with leaders in the Information Technology, Efficiency and Transformation, Offshoring, Branding & Communications, Human Resources, Legal and Real Estate functions to gain a greater understanding of how Operations provide the critical business support needed to drive efficiency, enable innovation and promote change at a $16 billion company.

 

The internship begins with an introduction to Arch and the insurance industry. Curriculum will be delivered through a combination of in-person classroom education, on-site work experience, virtual events and roundtables, and on-demand training. Interns will be able to network with Arch’s talented associates and hear directly from executive leadership. Students will work on a capstone project designed to assist with transformational change at Arch. Final presentations will be given to members of the Arch Executive Team.

 

We’re seeking students from a variety of ethnic, socioeconomic, and other backgrounds and educational areas of focus. Our program introduces underrepresented groups of students to the vast career opportunities available within the specialty insurance industry. Interested students must possess an excellent academic record and demonstrate a passion for learning, creativity and collaboration. We want individuals who are interested in exploring the world of global insurance and understand the value of teamwork and supporting one another. Applicants will participate in virtual interviews to be considered for internships and employment opportunities. Those selected will be competitively compensated. 

 

Location: Greensboro, NC 

 

Logistics: The Agents of Transformation Internship program will require 100% in-person participation on-site at our Greensboro, NC location. Lodging stipends and initial travel cost coverage will be provided by Arch.

 

Program Dates: May 30 – August 4

 

Qualifications:

The standard qualifications of intern candidates are:

  • Rising sophomore or junior undergraduate status
  • Must have at least 3.0 GPA
  • Interest in transformative operations of a global business
