What are the responsibilities and job description for the Machine Operator (Lasers) position at ARCH Cutting Tools?
Duties :
- Set up and operate laser etching machines, including adjusting laser power, focus, and beam alignment to achieve desired etching depth and quality
- Laser etches carbide round tool with company specific information, attention to detail is a must.
- Import and manipulate digital designs in CAD software to create etching patterns, ensuring proper scaling and placement on the material
- Load and unload materials onto the laser bed, properly securing them to ensure accurate etching
- Inspect etched products for accuracy, consistency, and defects; make adjustments to machine settings as needed
- Puts finished tooling in tubes, trays, and or tubs.
- Labels tubes and or boxes.
- Perform routine cleaning and maintenance on the laser etching machine, including lens cleaning and checking for potential malfunctions
- Makes customer deliveries using company vehicle.
- Cross train on other operations such as wheel dresser, cut off, pulling raw material, and sorting regrinds.
- Understand and comply with company policy safety guidelines, quality systems requirements and housekeeping standards.
