SOLAR TECHNICAN – RESIDENTIAL

Our company leaders are active instructors, inspectors, and consultants to many of the leading energy groups, both locally and nationally.
As a Solar Technician, you will assist the electrical team in providing consistent, high-quality, cost-effective, and timely deliverables and products to our residential solar customers. Solar Technician’s work in conjunction with the Lead Solar Technicians and Field Team Leads to develop accurate and efficient project assignments.
Some of the duties and responsibilities of a Solar Technician include, but are not limited to:
1. Assisting in interpreting plans, specifications, drawings, and documents related to engineering and construction from the jobsite
2. Configuring, installing, inspecting and maintaining solar systems for customers
3. Assessing the environment to detect and mitigate any hazards that may be associated with installation
4. Mapping out where projects and pieces go, and placing components according to provided diagrams
5. Sealing the system against weather, using safety codes and manufacturer specifications
6. Testing the system and measure grounding systems while making adjustments to controls as needed
7. Participating in the maintenance and operations of an electrical shop; clean and maintain service tools and equipment used in the performance of duties
8. Preparing and cleaning up job sites
Our ideal candidate has the ability to work in a team environment, has strong customer service skills, great communication skills, and preferably has experience working at heights. Candidates must have a valid driver’s license with a good driving record, preferably have their OSHA 10 certification, be bale to work in various weather conditions, light up to 75 lbs., and have the physical ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, reach, crouch, crawl, bend, twist, and climb in order to effectively be bale to do the job.
