What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fueling Brains Coach position at Arch Ford Education Service Co-op?
SUMMARY: The Implementation Coach will work closely with all teachers and administration across Fueling Brains partnership campuses within Arch Ford Education Cooperative. This individual will oversee the fidelity of Fueling Brains implementation in all classrooms by supporting teacher learning through personalized professional development and expanding teacher capacity through modeling. Additionally, coaches serve to work as consultants to all levels of the foundation for helping to understand curricular goals and objectives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Build the capacity of teachers for the successful Implementation of Fueling Brains through observation, feedback, and modeling in the classroom.
Assist teachers with materials, tools, and information to support classroom set up for the assigned environment and quality instruction within that environment.
Facilitate discussions resulting in collaborative, reflective, accountable, self-evaluative, and participative practices that support the educational processes of all students.
Data Coach - Create data talk presentations for assigned classrooms and assist teachers in internalizing the data and designing data-informed instructional lessons for whole groups, small groups, and individuals to fill in brain-development gaps.
Instructional Specialist - collaborate with both Right Brain/Left Brain/Hybrid teachers implementing the Ready, Set, Grow! program and self-contained kindergarten teachers implementing the Nurturing Minds program.
Ensure that content delivery in the classroom aligns with the brain development of the students.
Mentor - Focus on improving teachers’ strengths, collaborating on and discussing common issues of concern, and being a thinking partner.
Provide professional development, training systems, and programs.
Model continuous learning and create learning communities.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
5 years of experience in Early Childhood Education (preferred)
Valid Arkansas Teaching License in Early Childhood Education required
Experience with planning and leading professional development opportunities for the staff
Completion of 2-day approved coaching training, or willingness to attend
The ability to work in a collaborative environment
Completion of Fueling Brains Brain Coach Certification
Experience with assessment, individual and group program design, and evaluation
Valid First Aid/CPR
A valid driver's license and access to a vehicle on a daily basis
Ability to travel within the Arch Ford Education Cooperative service area
Criminal record check/vulnerable sector check, within the past 6 months (may be obtained upon hire).
Demonstrated competency in English written and verbal communication.
Advanced computer literacy.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Coach will be required to stand for longer periods of time to provide professional learning opportunities to teachers (approximately 6 hours per day), walk to interact with teachers, sit, stoop, or crouch
Use hands to handle or feel, type, and pick up objects, and reach with hands and arms
Effective Oral and Written Communication
Ability to access, input, and retrieve information from the computer.
Ability to drive to provide support on-site for districts
Frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
Salary : $65,000 - $75,000
