What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shipping & Receiving Clerk position at ARCH Global Precision company?

Summary

We are looking to add an energetic and versatile candidate to our team. The ideal person would possess the ability to take action and be comfortable with ever-changing demands. This is a multi-role position that requires high levels of organization and prioritization. The clerk would support the Shipping and Receiving Lead by packaging and shipping of all products from the factory to our suppliers and customers. They would also receive incoming materials as well as customer products for refurbishment. The clerk would be highly mobile accomplishing various small batch tasks each day. The Shipping and Receiving Clerk's success will be measured by performing the following duties :

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Shipping

Package and ship

Provide pricing and delivery information

Perform inspection(s) of products to determine conformance to all specifications.

Laser mark tools as per print

Tube round tools in appropriate packaging

Create and apply labels as required

Build shipping crates for work rest blades

Review and ensure paperwork is complete and accurate verifying quantities

Ensure parts are packaged safely and organized.

Prepare electronic and physical shipping documentation

Maintain appropriate levels of all shipping supplies.

Accurately complete all required paperwork

Keep work area clean and organized at all times.

Inspections

Utilize various measuring tools, including calipers, micrometers, gages, and other handheld measuring devices.

Use video measurement equipment to measure part dimensions.

Receiving

Electronically collect and upload receiving paperwork into ERP

Incoming inspection for raw materials

Coating (incoming inspection & receiving)

Incoming inspection for outsourced products & services

Pick-ups & deliveries

Receive customer owned tools

Competencies

Great attention to detail

Strong ability to read and understand paperwork.

Qualifications

Education and / or Experience

High School / GED completion.

Language Skills

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.

Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Computer Skills

Microsoft Office knowledge
