What are the responsibilities and job description for the 2nd or 3rd shift CNC Set Up Machinist - Milling (Haas) position at ARCH Global Precision?
DMG Mori 5 axis preferred; must have experience in low volume production with multiple set ups per day / week.
Shift hours :
2nd : 2 : 00 pm to 10 : 00 pm 3rd shift : 10 : 00 pm to 6 : 30 am
Machine Type : Haas Axis 3, 3 2 Milling MORI DMU 50 full 5 Axis.
Software & Computer Skills : MasterCAM, Epicor, Microsoft Office
Software & Computer Skills : ERP knowledge (Epicor is preferred), Microsoft Office
Essential Duties and Qualifications
- Sets up (100% program prove out), operates, and troubleshoots Haas machines; must be able to do full set ups frequently in a low-volume production manufacturing environment
- Able to read and interpret programs and make edit to G & M codes
- CAM software knowledge is a plus
- Replaces tools, filters; adds coolant
- Proficient using gauges, micrometers, calipers, optical comparator, and other measuring tools
- Responsible for quality of each set up and production
- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and schematics
- Proficient knowledge of GD&T
- Manufacturing experience working with in medical / aerospace industries preferred
- Responsible for maintaining cleanliness in the work area at all times
- Helps reduce scrap, cost, time
- Maintains positive work environment
- Reliable, timely and consistent attendance
