- Lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate, develop, qualify, and manage customer projects focused on new product development.
- Instrumental the identification, evaluation, selection, and development of customers, ensuring successful product launch ramp-up in line with organizational strategies.
- Serve as the primary liaison between operations teams, project management, and project teams, managing all customer-related aspects of the project.
- Develop and implement mechanisms for monitoring project progress, addressing challenges, and ensuring timely completion of goals related to schedule, budget, productivity, quality, and functionality.
- Effectively communicate with stakeholders and secure their engagement to ensure that suppliers and components meet business needs.
- Support product launch readiness and smooth transfer to operations.
- Identify potential new sources in technologies where category strategies are not yet defined.
- Conduct detailed analysis and investigation of material issues when problems are complex or undefined.
- Partner with suppliers to ensure that components are designed for reliability, manufacturability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Define supplier objectives, communicate design and performance requirements, and drive supplier-related negotiations.
- Manage material or component replacement efforts as needed.
Preferred Experience:
- Extensive experience in project management within the medical device industry.
- Strong technical acumen in medical device technology.
- Proven experience in the management of suppliers and supply chains, with a focus on supplier negotiations.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and work effectively in a global environment.
- Experience in the development and implementation of material or component replacement efforts.
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills, with a strong ability to build and motivate teams.
- High level of business acumen and the ability to influence program objectives.
- A proactive and dynamic team player with the enthusiasm and motivation to handle input from multiple teams and drive results.
- Program management experience specific to the development and launch of medical devices.
- A strong track record of successful project delivery in fast-paced and complex environments.
