Material Handler {H}

Summary

• This role is responsible for managing incoming and outgoing shipments while meeting requirements of material purchase orders and manufacturing route sheets. The role will be responsible for the safe packaging, correct identification, storage, and maintenance of inventory. Specific responsibilities of the role are defined but not limited to the below:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Manage incoming and outgoing materials.
• Package and prepare products for shipment and provide proper certifications.
• Verify the raw material certifications to ensure that they meet all of the chemical and physical analysis requirements of the specifications referenced in the raw material purchase order as well as those referenced on the manufacturing route sheet.
• Identify and release the raw material and products/components for assemblies in accordance with our internal procedures.
• Prepare shipping labels using UPS, FedEx and appropriate online shipping software.
• Create, control, and follow up on purchase orders for outside production processing.
• Handle and process documentation for traceability and order tracking
• Communicate and set up expectations with outside vendors for deliverables and on time production
• Perform simple mechanical inspections on incoming parts and in-process machined parts.
• Manage the inventory of finished and unfinished parts.
• Document the shipment and inspection history on the Manufacturing Route Sheet.
• Assist with tooling inventory and distribution.

Skills, Education, and Experience

• 2 years prior shipping/receiving experience is required.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds when requested.
• Understanding of basic measuring tools such as micrometers, etc. are required.
• Experience in the review of raw material or process certifications and should be able to interpret the chemical and physical range requirements that are commonly expressed in decimal format on material certifications.
• High attention to detail is required.
• Must be able to handle multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-starter, able to work independently as well as part of a multi-disciplined team.
• Team oriented and ability to work effectively with people at all levels.
• ISO regulations experience preferred (ISO 9001 & 13485)
