Quoting
- To communicate with Sales, Engineering and Supply Chain to gather information needed to quote jobs·
- To respond to RFQ's in a timely manner
- Prepare documents needed for Quote Review
- Retrieve outside sourcing quotes as needed for Quote Review
- Complete Quote Entry and communication of final quote to customer prior to deadline
- To maintain database of quotes
- To trend jobs won/lost to improve accuracy of quoting process
- To understand internal resource and use data when quoting
- Create items in ERP system
- To communicate new jobs / customers to company keeping all informed
- To understand external market trends and use data
- To understand internal financial resources and use data when quoting
- Consults with supervisors, systems analysts, other programmers, and end users to gather information about program intent, functions, features, data requirements, input requirements, output requirements, internal and external checks and controls, hardware and operating system environment, interfaces with other systems.
- Design or writes program specifications based on consultations with supervisor, system analysts, other programmers, and end users.
- Writes and maintains documentation of changes to computer code, programs, and specifications.
- Reviews user technical documentation written by others to confirm consistency with program operations.
- Provides technical assistance by responding to inquiries regarding errors, problems, or questions with programs.
- Revises program for corrections, enhancements, or system environment changes.
- Trains end users or technical support staff to use support program.
- Coordinates with other programmers about program revisions.
- Modifies and maintains software programs written by others.

Education and/or Experience
- Experience in Auto Cad or equivalent software
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years experience working in similar position at manufacturing company
- Previous machining or relevant technical experience not required but a plus
- Previous experience in customer interfacing position
- Ability to write professionally for multiple outlets that conform to prescribed style and format
- Ability to verbally communicate effectively
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
- Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, Visio)
- CAD
- Experience with ERP system
