Competencies

Work is performed indoors with some potential for exposure to safety and health hazards related to electronics work. May periodically travel to satellite sites

- Develop manufacturing process for new and legacy multi-axis parts.
- Mill-Turn experience highly desirable. 5 Axis milling experience is acceptable.
- Design work holding and fixtures.
- Program parts and fixtures Cad/Cam program.
- Use machine simulation software to ensure collision free code.
- Aid in quoting new work, including design for manufacturability feedback to customers.
- S/U and run CNC mills and lathes as needed to support new product introduction and continuous improvement efforts.
- Communicate and resolve issues with peers/manufacturing.
- Develop and implement continuous improvement ideas on new and legacy parts.
- Consults with supervisors, other programmers, and end users to gather information about program intent, functions, features, data requirements, input requirements, output requirements, internal and external checks and controls, hardware and operating system environment, interfaces with other systems.
- Converts designs and specifications into computer code.
- Provides technical assistance by responding to inquiries regarding errors, problems, or questions with programs.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Have a minimum of 3-years of cad/cam program experience --- with a minimum of 3 years CNC experience combined with excellent computer skills.
- Experience with GD&T.
- Self-Starter / Self-Motivated / Flexible / Detail-Oriented.
