Staff Archaeologist

We are looking for a motivated individual to join our team as a Staff Archaeologist- III with at least three years' experience. Responsibilities include fieldwork, artifact identification, archaeological monitoring and assisting with authoring reports. The candidate will be tasked with managing multiple concurrent projects and must be able to problem-solve as challenges arise. Strong written and verbal communication skills are key in this position.

Requirements:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Anthropology or a closely related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in cultural resource management (CRM) with 2 years having been in the Pacific Northwest.
- Strong writing and editing skills with ability to complete cultural resource forms/documents in a timely manner.
- Pre-contact artifact or historic artifact identification and analysis experience preferred
- Attention to detail a must.
- Self-motivated, respectful of others, positive, energetic, and able to work and participate in a team environment.
- Experience with ArcGIS Pro a plus
Physical Demands & Work Environment:
- Has ability to perform bending, kneeling, standing, and lifting and carrying objects weighing 35 lbs. and have a tolerance for working in outdoor environments, including prolonged walking or standing on various terrain in a wide range of weather conditions.
- Out of town travel (10-20%)
- Performs manual labor including excavation with shovels.
- Availability to work extended field rotations (5-10 days at a time).
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $24.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
