Job Title: Cybersecurity Engineer
Job Location: Colorado Springs, CO
Job Description
Must have an active and transferable DoD security clearance with current investigation at the required level. Must be able to maintain the required clearance
Required Education/Experience:
- An advanced degree and 3 years experience or bachelors with 5 years experience or equivalent; wide application of principles, theories, and concepts in their field and provides solutions to a wide range of difficult problems with imaginative and thorough solutions.
- This position requires DoD IAT Level II or higher certification.
Required Skills:
- Proficiency in tuning and optimizing cybersecurity tools such as ESS, Elastic (Elasticsearch), ConfigOS, and Tanium to enhance system performance and threat detection capabilities.
- Ability to create custom dashboards for visualizing security data and quickly identifying issues and trends.
- Experience integrating various security products to ensure seamless communication and data flow across the infrastructure.
- Skills in troubleshooting and resolving issues related to these tools, as well as managing upgrades and deployments of new features and security patches.
- Knowledge of Software Assurance (SwA) static and dynamic code analysis techniques, such as Fortify.
- Must have experience in the Agile Development Lifecycle to include generating requirements, architecture design, configuring Cyber audit tools, conducting verification, and performing Cyber vulnerability, and Cyber configuration activities.
- Creating custom dashboards to visualize security data, ensuring quick identification of issues and trends
Desired Skills:
- Proficiency in configuring, running, and scripting audit tools for security assessment purposes.
- Knowledge of Windows/RHEL System administration to install, tune, and troubleshoot cybersecurity tools effectively.
- Familiarity with various cybersecurity products such as Splunk or similar solutions for data analysis and threat detection.
- Understanding of Software Assurance (SwA) principles and methodologies for secure software development life cycle management.
