Position:Custodian
Location: Archbold Middle School
Reports to:Maintenance Supervisor and Building Principal
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent GED.
- Previous experience in custodial work, preferably in a school or institutional setting, is a plus but not required.
- Knowledge of cleaning procedures and safety practices.
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
- Physical ability to perform the duties of the job, including lifting up to 25 lbs, bending, standing for long periods, and operating machinery.
- Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
- The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail and be committed to ensuring the school provides a welcoming and healthy atmosphere for students, staff, and visitors.
- Duties include, but are not limited to: general cleaning, removing trash, moving furnishings, supplies, equipment, etc., cleaning floors, helping with deliveries, and informing the supervisor about workplace concerns.
- Works well both independently and as a team.
- Has a passion for serving our school and students.
- Displays flexibility, reliability, self-discipline, and a willingness to take on challenging tasks.
- Willingness to work overtime hours for event coverage as needed.
- Embodies high ethical standards/integrity. Accepts personal responsibility for decisions/conduct.
- Interacts confidently with others and displays a strong customer service focus.
- Maintains open/effective communications.
- Maintains a record free of criminal violations that would prohibit public school employment.
Salary : $16 - $20
