Peer Review Coordinator - Medical Staff
Responsibilities:
Requires knowledge of Medical Staff Peer Review Policy, OPPE Policy, FPPE Policy, Medical Staff Bylaws, Rules and Regulations
Acts as a source for providing the members of the peer review committees with the data necessary to carry out their required functions
Maintains confidentiality as dictated by hospital policy
Works with other hospital department leaders to coordinate performance improvement/peer review related issues
Remains current with Joint Commission and CMS Standards and requirements. Performs other duties as necessary
Experience/Education:
Must possess a current RN license in the State of Georgia
Knowledge of Joint Commission and CMS standards preferred
Minimum of 5 years clinical hospital experience
Critical Care experience preferred
Knowledge of the peer review process, including confidentiality, physician rights and hospital by-laws preferred
