Referral Coordinator - AMG-SGSA
Description
Schedules and Precerts all diagnostic testing that require pre-certification.
Effective verbal and written communication for interaction with departments, families and physician offices
Self-motivated
Able and willing to work with management and understand and follow directions
Able to work with computer and telephone equipment
Communication and public relations skills should be excellent.
Able to type
Maintains a professional image
Makes a conscientious effort to help maintain a clean, safe and secure environment
Assumes responsibility for institutional requirements
Customer Service Interpersonal skills
Occasionally exposed to chemicals, moving objects, loud noise
Rarely exposed to blood,body tissue/fluids, hazardous materials, dust, high elevations, slippery surface, special clothing/safety equipment, potential burns
Able to see objects closely, as in reading, on a continuous basis
Able to see objects far away occasionally
Potential lifting of objects weighing: 10 pounds or less--frequently, 20 pounds or less--occasionally, 35 pounds or less--rarely
The highest point of any lift--overhead
The lowest point of any lift--the floor
Able to carry objects:10 pounds or less-- frequently, 50 pounds or less--rarely
Able to push/pull objects using maximum effort occasionally
Able to sit 2 hours consecutively
Able to stand in place 10 minutes consecutively
Remain on foot for 20 minutes consecutively
Able to perform motor skills, such as finger manipulation
Occasionally, bending, twisting, turning, climbing stairs, reaching out, reaching up
Able to perform tasks which require arm/hand in hand/eye coordination on a continuous basis
Able to perform upper body coordination continuously
Lower body coordination occasionally
Able to concentrate on fine detail with interruptions on a continuous basis
Able to understand and relate to specific ideas generally several at a time, continuously
Able to remember multiple tasks/assignments given to self and others over long periods of time continuously
Education/Experience
High School diploma or equivalent, CMA preferred
Computer, Customer Service, Insurance Pre-cert/Authorizations, Scheduling, Medical Terminology
