What are the responsibilities and job description for the RECEPTIONIST (NE) position at Archdiocese of Baltimore?
The Cathedral of Mary Our Queen, located in Homeland, is seeking candidates for a Front Desk Receptionist. The Receptionist will provide receptionist services and clerical support for the parish office. This is a part-time, non-benefit eligible position, working 12 hours per week.
Essential Functions
- Represent the Cathedral and wider Church to the public by projecting a courteous, warm, welcoming, and empathetic image and presence to visitors, volunteers, parishioners, staff, and parish vendors.
- Welcome and direct visitors to the cathedral offices appropriately.
- Receive and direct general phone calls appropriately and convey voicemail messages to the appropriate staff as needed.
- Receive and direct requests for pastoral care visits such as Communion Calls, Anointing of the Sick, Last Rites, etc. with pastoral care and sensitivity, notifying appropriate clergy or volunteers in a timely fashion.
- Answer routine questions to assist staff, volunteers, parishioners, and parish vendors.
- Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail and packages. Prepare mailings as needed.
- Process requests and payments for Mass intentions and Mass cards.
- Fulfill requests for sacramental certificates as needed.
- Perform office opening and closing procedures as directed.
Position Qualifications
Range : $15.00 - 20.00, Hourly
