ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Faith Formation:
- Develop, organize, and implement Faith Formation for Grades K-8
- Supervise catechists for Ascension Press’s First Reconciliation and First Communion classes
- Run OCIA programs for children and teens
- Develop and implement Kindergarten program
- Run EDGE Middle School program, including Confirmation prep for grades 7-8
- Orchestrate Faith Formation registration for all participants
- Work alongside All Saints High School Youth Minister to recruit, train, and support teen CORE team
- Recruit, train, and support volunteer catechists and assist them in their own spiritual growth
- Oversee and ensure complete record keeping of family and student information for all grades using ParishSoft and Flocknote
- Communicate with families through Flocknote as necessary, including important program and event reminders and updates
- Submit bulletin announcements, website content, and Mass announcements for Faith Formation program routinely and as necessary
- Handle the administration of child safety procedures in accordance with state and archdiocesan requirements, including CORI forms and Protecting God’s Children/Virtus training for adults and safe environment lessons for children and families
- Maintain a clear and consistent channel of communication with the Pastor, Parochial Vicar, and High School Youth Minister
- Other duties as assigned by the Pastor
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be fluent in both Spanish and English
- Must be willing to support the mission and vision of the Roman Catholic Church and a Catholic in good standing, practicing and faithful to the Sacraments.
- A strong service orientation is critical
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office, Google Calendar, Parish Soft, and Flocknote
- Must be well-organized, able to multitask and effectively work in a changing environment
- Experience handling confidential, sensitive, timely and critical matters using good judgment, tact, respect and discretion required
- A high level of proficiency communicating effectively through email and/or telephone
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Conscientious, detail-oriented and capable of working independently
PHYSICAL PERFORMANCE ELEMENTS:
- Ability to use a computer keyboard for up to 8 hours/day
- Ability to sit for up to 8 hours/day
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds
