Overview:
The Extended Day Program Coordinator will oversee the daily operations of the after-school program, providing a safe, engaging, and educational environment for students in grades PreK3-8 grades. The coordinator will be responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating activities that promote academic enrichment, social development, and personal growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Program Management:
● Develop and implement engaging lesson plans and activities.
● Ensure a safe and supportive environment for all participants.
● Monitor student behavior and provide guidance to support positive interactions.
Staff Supervision:
● Supervise program staff to ensure they are supervising students at all times
● Update administration regularly to discuss, challenges, and successes.
Communication:
● Communicate with Parents and administration when there are conflicts or injuries
Administrative Duties:
● Manage program budgets and resources efficiently.
● Maintain accurate records of student attendance, incidents, and program evaluations.
● Prepare reports as required by school administration.
Community Engagement:
● Foster partnerships with local organizations, businesses, and community members to enhance program offerings.
Qualifications:
● Bachelor’s degree in Education, Child Development, or a related field (preferred).
● Experience working with children in an educational or recreational setting.
● Strong organizational and leadership skills.
● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
● Ability to work collaboratively with staff, parents, and community members.
● CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
Working Conditions:
● The position will require working in a school environment with children during after-school hours.
● Flexibility in schedule may be necessary for special events or meetings.

This position has an annualized salary range of $15,000. An employee’s pay within the salary range will be based on many factors including but not limited to: relevant education, qualifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and organizational needs.
