What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part-Time Events Coordinator position at Archdiocese of Chicago?

Collaborates with Events Team, key professionals as well as Archdiocesan staff to assist in coordinating and executing events / calendared projects.
Responsible for the development, coordination and successful completion of system events, including (but not limited to) professional gatherings and retreats, award ceremonies, fund-raisers, virtual events, and others that further systemic growth of the Archdiocese.
The primary responsibility is to coordinate all aspects of meetings, events and trips including planning, implementation, financial reconciliation and post-event follow-up.
Responsibilities and other essential duties as assigned:
Gives input to and coordinates office calendar to reflect the priority of providing resources to the events*
Work with the other members of the Events Team to coordinate successful events and projects.
Collaborate with other staff on Archdiocesan events that range from small spiritual and formation sessions to large, thousand person events.*
Helps facilitate events and trainings on virtual platforms like Microsoft Teams and Zoom as necessary.
Implements Events Team’s principles of service and best practices into work.
Communicates clearly with other team members and Archdiocesan staff regarding progress, updates and event information.
Determine event logistics with thorough planning; including but not limited to housing, venue management, registration, data management, hospitality and any other requirements associated with event.
Coordinates and implements registration websites and processes for events.
Reserving meeting rooms/venues, potentially scheduling and attending planning meetings
Research locations based on number of attendees, objectives and budgets, inputting up to date information into team database of venue.
