The Finance Secretary is responsible for processing bills, tracking tuition payments, and working with stakeholders to manage income and expenses. Essential Job Functions:
- Financial Oversight: Manage and oversee bill payments, check requests, and tuition payment tracking.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the Principal, Parish Business Manager, and School Secretary, as well as interact with parents and school organizations.
- Financial Tracking: Monitor and track income and expenses, ensuring accurate record-keeping and financial reporting.
- Bill Processing: Process invoices and ensure timely payment of bills.
- Tuition Management: Track and manage tuition payments from families, resolving any discrepancies.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Work with stakeholders, including families and staff, to address financial inquiries and provide reports.
- Proficiency in Financial Software: Demonstrate proficiency in QuickBooks and other relevant financial software for managing school finances.
- General Office Management: Assist in general office operations, completing administrative tasks with strong computer skills.
- Communication Skills: Effectively communicate with school stakeholders and external partners, both in person and over the phone.
- Attention to Detail: Ensure accuracy in financial documentation and record-keeping, adhering to school and diocesan policies.
- Accountability: Report directly to the Principal and adhere to the policies and procedures of the Archdiocese of Chicago and the local school.
