Shrine Catholic Grade School is located in Royal Oak, MI at the corner of 12 Mile Rd and Woodward Avenue. Shrine Catholic Schools have been providing the highest quality Catholic education to the surrounding communities since 1938. We are looking for a part-time staff member for our after school care program. Positions range from 10.0-15.0 hours per week between 3:00-6:00pm.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma/GED
- Works well with staff and has a passion for working with children.
- Able to work in a collaborative atmosphere with teachers, parents, and children.
- Possess willingness to learn and demonstrate interest in child development; completion of 16 hours of provided professional development on child care and child development is required each year.
- Must successfully complete State of Michigan required Criminal Background Check and fingerprinting.
- Must have completed or be willing to complete Protecting God's Children training.
- CPR/First Aid training is a plus, but must be willing to become certified within 90 days of hire.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain a professional and positive attitude
- Monitors all children to ensure their safety, health, and well-being
- Maintains consistent and regular attendance as an essential function of the position of kids club staff member
- Creates a fun, safe, and Christ-centered environment; crafts, activities, games etc.
Shrine Catholic Grade School is seeking substitute caregivers for our Early Childhood Center.
Job Description
- Work alongside the teacher or aide to assist with a variety of tasks contributing to safe and effective classroom operation in preschool when one of the regular faculty or staff members is not able to be in the classroom.
- Follow all licensing guidelines and adhere to all school policies and procedures to ensure exceptional daily care and educational experiences for each child.
Qualifications

- Demonstrate interest in child development; completion of professional development on child care and child development is required each year.
