Job Summary:
The Before and After School Latchkey person will supervise and engage with children before and after school hours. The Latchkey staff will ensure the safety and well-being of the children in their care while providing a fun and educational environment.

Job Summary:
The Before and After School Latchkey person will supervise and engage with children before and after school hours. The Latchkey staff will ensure the safety and well-being of the children in their care while providing a fun and educational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and engage with children before and after school hours
- Ensure the safety and well-being of the children in their care
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities and games
- Provide snacks and homework assistance
- Work effectively both as a team member and individual to meet the needs of each student
Qualifications:
- Experience working with children
- Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to maintain a positive and professional attitude
Requirements
Must be certified in Infant/Child and Adult CPR and First Aid (school will provide some training)
Complete 16 hours of Professional Development in Early Childhood topics (annually)
Before starting, you must complete the following:
Fingerprinted/Background check (through school)
Bloodborne Pathogens
Protecting God’s Children Workshop (available through Archdiocese of Detroit)
TB test and physical
MIRegistry health and safety training
High School Diploma or GED equivalence
Availability to work from 6:15-8:15 am (twice a week) and/or 3:15-6:00 pm (three times a week)
