What are the responsibilities and job description for the Custodians - Part-Time position at Archdiocese of Detroit?
Under the direction and supervision of the school principal the custodians are responsible for maintaining the physical school building in a condition that ensures students, staff, and visitors have an environment that is safe, clean, and healthy.
We have two part-time, 12-month positions available. Normal shift hours for the daytime custodian are 9am-12pm/1pm and for the evening position are 4pm-7:30pm. Both positions are Monday-Friday. The shift hours may be adjusted during times when school is not in session or for special events/circumstances.
Qualifications/Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.

Physically able to bend, stoop, reach, and climb ladders

Must be punctual, dependable, honest, and reliable.

Must pass a criminal background check before employment

Must have or obtain a Protection God's Children training
Responsibilities/Duties: Sweep and mop, empty trash cans, clean restrooms, vacuum carpets, wash windows, buff floors, dusting, occasionally moving furniture, and other duties as assigned.
