Academy of the Sacred Heart’s HEART Enrichment program is hiring enthusiastic, driven Extended Day Staff members from the start of the 2024-2025 school year! Our program provides a safe and nurturing space for children grades PreK- Grade 8 to gather after school and engage in a variety of activities. Extended Day staff members are responsible for coordinating activities, fostering positive relationships, and other duties as assigned.
Morning and afternoon shifts are available. Morning hours are 6:45-8:00 a.m. Monday-Friday. Afternoon hours are 2:45-6:00 p.m. Monday-Friday.
Essential functions include but are not limited to:

- Lead activities in assigned small group
- Ensure student safety during activities
- Monitor hygiene and social distancing habits in assigned small group
- Prepare and supervise student snack
- Keep track of student dietary restrictions and allergies
- Oversee daily sign in and sign out procedures
- Follow safety and emergency procedures
- Assist in daily cleaning and sanitization procedures
- Report and significant concerns or incidents to Extended Day/Enrichment Coordinator

Basic requirements include but are not limited to:
- Must be 18 or older
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in childcare, camp or similar setting
- CPR and First Aid
- Adept at multitasking, self-starter and efficiently manage time
- Serve as a positive role model and mentor
- Work with students one-on-one in a kind and caring manner
- Ability to work well with students and colleagues; willingness to be an active, enthusiastic member of the Sacred Heart community
- Attend staff orientation prior to the start of school
