Job Summary
The head football coach will work under the supervision of the athletic directors in accordance with Loyola High School and it’s Jesuit/ Catholic mission. The head football coach must realize and appreciate the need for the football program to work with other sports as a complement to the entire athletic department.

Qualifications
Some experience as a football coach or assistant coach at the high school or college level preferred. Must possess effective coaching techniques and skills. Must possess a thorough knowledge of the rules, regulations, strategies, and techniques of the sport. Must possess the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with school administrators, parents, and students.

Major Responsibilities and Duties:
• Manage and supervise athletic activities, contests, and practice sessions to promote individual growth in athletic skills, teamwork, discipline, respect, and good sportsmanship.
• Work with other members of school staff to plan and put in place instructional goals and objectives to ensure the overall educational development of student athletes.
• Ensures that all football coaches work together toward a common goal within the football program and provide unity with a structured feeder system.
• Take all necessary precautions to protect student athletes, equipment, materials, and facilities. Monitor and enforce student eligibility criteria for extracurricular participation.
• Work with the Athletic Director to schedule competitions and coordinate arrangements.
• Adheres to the MHSAA/CHSL Coaches Guidebook.
• Maintain a current inventory of all fixed assets within program
• Oversee process of cleaning, repairing, and storing all campus athletic equipment including the weight room.
